Predictions for the Sky Bet Championship by David Prutton | football news

Who is David Prutton predicting to win the Sky Bet Championship on Good Friday? Find out here…

Luton vs Nottingham Forest, 12.30pm – Continue live Sky Sports Football

It feels like Luton hit the buffers at the wrong time. Three wins without a win have given some hope to teams hoping to snag a place in the top six by the end of the season.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, just flies. Five wins in a row and the team that could bring Bournemouth the most away from second place. It could get close, but Forest’s momentum should see them overtake it at Kenilworth Road.

Prutton predicts: 1-2 (Sky Bet Odds)

Birmingham vs Coventry, 3pm – Live on Sky Sports Football Red Button

Birmingham have only scored one goal in their last five games, that was from a penalty, and that says a lot about their struggles this season.

Coventry clinched a fantastic win at Fulham last weekend to keep their tenuous play-off hopes alive. Until it’s mathematically over, all they can do is move on. A win here and you never know.

Prutton predicts: 0-1 (Sky Bet odds)

Bournemouth vs Middlesbrough, 3pm – Live on Sky Sports Football

This is a big, big game now. Bournemouth have just suffered a small dip in their last two games and suddenly the menacing presence of Nottingham Forest looms on the horizon.

Middlesbrough themselves have also suffered two untimely defeats. They are still well placed but need a lot of wins until the end of the season to get into the top 6. However, I don’t see a win in Vitality. Draw.

Prutton predicts: 1-1 (Sky Bet Odds)

Hull vs Cardiff, 3pm – Live on Sky Sports Football Red Button

That was a great win for Hull at Middlesbrough last week and it should give them some momentum going into the final stages of the season. Even if there’s nothing to play, it’s always good to try to end things on a high.

Cardiff recovered well from their horror show against Swansea to beat Reading. Survival is now confirmed and it is time for Steve Morison and his crew to look ahead. They showed good character and will do it again against Hull.

Prutton predicts: 0-1 (Sky Bet odds)

Peterborough vs Blackburn, 3pm – Live on Sky Sports Football Red Button

It’s probably more a matter of timing than if for Peterborough now in terms of relegation. It could happen by the end of the Easter weekend, although Grant McCann’s side have shown improvement in recent weeks.

Blackburn just need to win this to have any real hope of fighting their way back into the top six. But I just can’t see how they’ve been doing lately. draw for me

Prutton predicts: 1-1 (Sky Bet Odds)

Sheffield United v Reading, 3pm – Continue live Sky Sports Football Red Button

Sheffield United will have been frustrated at not beating Bournemouth last weekend but they are still largely in control of their play-off spot.

Reading still has a little to do to survive and a loss here could make them sweat again if other results are against them. I honestly can’t imagine them taking anything from Bramall Lane.

Prutton predicts: 3-1 (Sky Bet odds)

Huddersfield vs QPR, 5:30pm – Live on Sky Sports Football

It’s been a couple of big wins for Huddersfield lately. They are close to securing a play-off spot and still have their eyes on Bournemouth should the Cherries slip further.

QPR are in free fall. Your play-off dream is all but over after five defeats. While it would be typical of the championship for the team to not show up in any form and get a surprise win, I can’t imagine that happening here. home win.

Prutton predicts: 2-0 (Sky Bet odds)

Derby v Fulham, 8pm – Live on Sky Sports Football

Wayen Rooney remains frustrated at the lack of clarity over Derby's future

All Derby can really do now is try to win every game as it comes and see what happens, but it’s fair to say that surviving at this stage is unlikely.

Fulham are almost there but lost sight of the ball against Coventry last weekend. Marco Silva will be determined this doesn’t happen again and that should be enough to see her across the finish line at Pride Park.

Prutton predicts: 1-3 (Sky Bet Odds)
